Egge IL was one of 34 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Trønderavisas Fotballcup 2019. They participated with four teams in Gutter 13 (født 2006), Gutter 14 (født 2005), Jenter 13(født 2006) and Jenter 14 (født 2005) respectively. The team in Jenter 14 (født 2005) made it to the the Final in Slutspel Aand won it over Charlottenlund Sportsklubb CSK by 2-0.

In addition to this, Egge IL have participated in Trønderavisas Fotballcup before. During Trønderavisas Fotballcup 2018, Egge had 4 teams playing in Gutter 13 (født 2005), Gutter 14 (født 2004), Jenter 13 (født 2005) and Jenter 14 (født 2004) respectively. The team in Jenter 13 (født 2005) made it to the the Final in Slutspel Aand won it over Tiller IL by 6-0.

Egge originates from Steinkjer, which is the same city as where Trønderavisas Fotballcup takes place. The area around Steinkjer does also provide 11 additional clubs participating during Trønderavisas Fotballcup 2019 (Among others: Vuku IL, Inderøy IL, Vinne IL, Sparbu IL, Steinkjer FK - Fotball, Skogn IL, Verdal IL, Sørlia IL, Kvam IL and Sparbu/Henning).
