Strindheim IL was one of 34 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Trønderavisas Fotballcup 2019. They participated with two teams in Gutter 13 (født 2006) and Gutter 14 (født 2005) respectively. The team in Gutter 14 (født 2005) made it to the the Semi final in Slutspel A, but lost it against Stjørdals-Blink Fotball by 0-2.

In addition to this, Strindheim IL have participated in Trønderavisas Fotballcup before. During Trønderavisas Fotballcup 2018, Strindheim had one team playing in Gutter 14 (født 2004). The team in Gutter 14 (født 2004) made it to the the Final in Slutspel Aand won it over Stjørdals-Blink Fotball by 3-2.

Strindheim comes from TRONDHEIM which lies approximately 85 km from Steinkjer, where Trønderavisas Fotballcup takes place. The area around TRONDHEIM does also provide 12 additional clubs participating during Trønderavisas Fotballcup 2019 (Among others: Charlottenlund Sportsklubb, Sjetne IL, Tiller IL, Nardo FK, Melhus IL, Kattem IL Fotballklubb, Byåsen IL, Stjørdals-Blink Fotball, Astor Fotballklubb and Vestbyen IL).
