Byåsen IL was one of 34 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Trønderavisas Fotballcup 2019. They participated with one team in Gutter 14 (født 2005).

In addition to Byåsen IL, 14 other teams played in Gutter 14 (født 2005). They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Byåsen IL could be found in Group B together with Verdal IL, Innstrandens IL, Egge IL and Strindheim IL.

Byåsen IL continued to Slutspel A after reaching 4:th place in Group B. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Tiller IL with 2-6. In the Final, Stjørdals-Blink Fotball won over Verdal IL and became the winner of Slutspel A in Gutter 14 (født 2005).

Byåsen IL also participated in Gutter 13 (født 2005) during Trønderavisas Fotballcup 2018. They reached the 1/4 Final in G13 (2005) Slutspel A, but lost it against Charlottenlund Sportsklubb with 0-5.

Byåsen comes from TRONDHEIM which lies approximately 85 km from Steinkjer, where Trønderavisas Fotballcup takes place. The area around TRONDHEIM does also provide 12 additional clubs participating during Trønderavisas Fotballcup 2019 (Among others: Charlottenlund Sportsklubb, Sjetne IL, Strindheim IL, Tiller IL, Nardo FK, Melhus IL, Kattem IL Fotballklubb, Stjørdals-Blink Fotball, Astor Fotballklubb and Vestbyen IL).
